Tommy Paul vs Jenson Brooksby prediction
After a frustrating time with injury, Tommy Paul seems to be moving into the right direction after a strong start to 2026. He got through to the final at the Adelaide International, losing to Tomas Machac in three sets. Paul continued the momentum with a fine showing at the Australian Open, as he won three matches on the spin to make the fourth-round. He was a tough opponent for Carlos Alcaraz and had a set point in the first set, but would lose in straights.
Jenson Brooksby is his first-round opponent in Dallas. Brooksby has two losses from his three matches so far this season. He lost in the second-round of the Auckland Open to Sebastian Baez and then suffered a tame defeat to Alexander Bublik in round one of the Australian Open.
Paul leads the head-to-head 3-1 and 1-0 indoors. They played against each other at this stage of the tournament last year, with Paul coming from a set down to win. Brooksby should make this a competitive match once more, but he has his work cut out.
