Tommy Paul vs Botic van de Zandschulp prediction

Tommy Paul began his quest for a second title at Queen’s Club with a straight sets win over lucky loser Zachary Svajda. Paul broke in the 12th game to go in front after the first set, and he raced to a 3-0 lead at the start of the second as he sealed a 7-5 6-3 win. The American was not broken on serve, saving five break points overall.

He will now face Botic van de Zandschulp for a place in the quarter-finals. The Dutchman defeated British qualifier Harry Wendelken in straight sets. Van de Zandschulp comfortably went ahead and looked on course for a quick win as he broke in the sixth game of the second, but Wendelken broke straight back and forced a tiebreak. Nevertheless, the 30-year-old would still go on to win 6-4 7-6 (5).

Van de Zandschulp does have the edge in terms of the head-to-head, as he leads 2-0 following a couple of indoor victories three years ago. His heavy groundstrokes could trouble Paul on this fast surface, but the American is still a firm favourite to advance.
