Tommy Paul extended his winning run at Queen’s Club to seven matches as he got past Botic van de Zandschulp in straight sets to progress to the quarter-finals. The 2024 champion, who did not compete at the event last year, produced a composed display in the first set tiebreak to go in front. The American opened up a lead in the second and went on to win 7-6 (5) 6-3.
He will face Alejandro Davidovich Fokina for a place in the last four. The Spaniard made it three straight wins against Corentin Moutet as he won in straight sets. Davidovich Fokina, who defeated home favourite and 2021 finalist Cameron Norrie in the first-round, continued his serene progress as he won 6-4 6-3 after one hour and 39 minutes.
