Tommy Paul vs Adolfo Daniel Vallejo prediction

Tommy Paul began his Asian swing poorly, as he was beaten comprehensively by Alejandro Tabilo in the first-round of the Japan Open. He committed 23 unforced errors, losing 6-1 6-2. Paul has reached four finals in 2026, winning one title in Houston.

He received a bye in the first-round and now faces Adolfo Daniel Vallejo. The Paraguayan enjoyed a dominant victory over Valentin Royer in the previous stage of the tournament. He did not concede a break point opportunity, winning 6-3 6-1 after just 61 minutes. Vallejo progressed to the quarter-finals of the Japan Open last week. 

Paul leads the head-to-head 2-0 after a couple of victories in Houston and Cincinnati, but he had to come from a set down to win both of those matches. He will need to improve upon his performance in Tokyo if he is to get past Vallejo, who has won five of his last six matches overall.
