Tomas Martin Etcheverry achieved double bragging rights as he secured a second straight sets win over a fellow Argentine with a 6-4 6-4 success over Camilo Ugo Carabelli. 

The world number will not face a third straight opponent from his homeland, however, as Jiri Lehecka produced an excellent display to down Francisco Cerundolo 7-5 6-2. 

The players have met once before on tour with Lehecka easing to a 6-1 6-3 success in Gstaad three years ago. 

Neither player came into this tournament firing on all cylinders but both have impressed so far. 

It may well go the distance and that’s arguably a safer bet, but if pushed we’d opt for Lehecka to prevail.
