He won four matches in a row, including a semi-final thrashing of Alex Barrena, but he then went on to lose to Adolfo Daniel Vallejo.

Both players have some form at a lower level coming into this match, while the head-to-head is locked at 2-2 on clay after four Challenger matches. This could be decided in three sets.
