WHO ARE THE LEADING MEDAL CONTENDERS?

The final of this event is between Bakhodir Jalolov of Uzbekistan and Richard Torres Jr of the United States. These two both enjoyed stoppages in their semi-final victories. Torres Jr defeated Kamyshbek Kunkabayev of Kazakhstan and Jalolov’s victim was Frazer Clarke of Great Britain.

Jalolov competed at the 2016 Olympics but didn’t manage to pick up a medal but since then he has won the gold medal in the 2019 World Championships. Torres Jr, on the other hand, has surprised many by reaching the final after having little experience ahead of the games.

The pre-tournament favourite remains the favourite heading into the final and that is Uzbekistan’s 2019 World Championships gold medalist. Bakhodir Jalolov will be the expected winner of this final bout.
