Tereza Valentova marched into the quarter-finals with a hugely impressive win over Elise Mertens.

The Czech starlet once again demonstrated her exciting talents with a 6-4 6-1 victory over the Belgian third seed. 

The 18-year-old will now face Olga Danilovic for the first time after the Serb notched a rock-solid 6-4 6-4 win over Ashlyn Krueger. 

The world number 49 had been on a woeful run prior to this tournament and although she has done well so far, Valentova is playing at an extremely high level and looks to have the momentum to carry that on here.
