Terence Atmane produced an excellent display to completely outclass Yoshihito Nishioka in the first round in Cincinnati.

The Frenchman romped to a 6-2 6-2 over usually the hard-court loving Japanese star to tee up a maiden meeting with Flavio Cobolli.

The Italian 15th seed has been in superb form since lifting the title in Hamburg, going deep in several tournaments with his run to the round of 16 in Toronto only halted by eventual winner Ben Shelton.

Atmane has come through qualifying and won three matches in a row without dropping a set, but this feels like a huge step up in class for the world number 136 and Cobolli should have more than enough firepower to come through this one comfortably.
