World number five Stefanos Tsitsipas maintained his one-sided record over Dan Evans with an assured straight-sets victory on Wednesday. The 24-year-old is now two wins away from 60 this season and yet 21 defeats in 2022 have largely come at odd times, with fluctuations in form seeing the Greek miss out on plenty more opportunities than his two ATP titles won this year. 23-year-old Corentin Moutet will set a new career-high ATP world ranking of around 51st no matter the outcome here after stunning both Borna Coric and Cam Norrie so far on home soil in Paris. The tricky, firebrand left-hander is exactly the kind of player this notorious Parisian crowd love to get behind and Tsitsipas can often struggle playing against a partisan atmosphere. The Greek beat Moutet in straight sets in their first meeting back in 2018 but this will be a totally different challenge. Backing Tsitsipas to win outright looks the suitably cautious move but the shrewd one could well be taking Moutet to win at least a set.
