World number 79 Roberto Carballes Baena is at his best on the clay and he has so far ousted both Marco Cecchinato and Joao Sousa in straight sets in Marrakech. The 29-year-old fares a decent chance at the upset here against world number 74 David Goffin as the Belgian continues to struggle with consistency on tour but the loss of Felix Auger-Aliassime has opened up the draw to the extent that Goffin may be able to dial in here. The 31-year-old won last season’s Montpellier Open in similar fashion, with a streak of wins in contrast to his overall poor form, and a comeback win over Pablo Andujar on Thursday is a strong enough level to beat RCB here. Goffin only recently beat the Spaniard in straight sets at the Miami Open but on clay this should come closer. Take Goffin to win outright.
