THE PREDICTION

This could be a serious turning point in world number six Stefanos Tsitsipas’ career as he reached a first ATP tour final on grass, by far his weakest surface. The 23-year-old has admittedly enjoyed a comfortable route through to the final with two straight-set victories over Ilya Ivashka, Benjamin Bonzi and a tighter battle with Marcos Giron but it is a run on grass nonetheless that brings Wimbledon out from the realms of impossibility. 34-year-old Roberto Bautista Agut was a semi-finalist at Wimbledon back in 2019 and the Spaniard, excellent across all-courts, has a brilliant game for the fast-paced grass. The world number 20 is yet to drop a set this week, with his quarter-final victory over Daniil Medvedev most impressive, and despite his 0-2 deficit in a head-to-head with Tsitsipas this still feels like his final to lose. Back Bautista Agut to win at least a set here and leave the winner up to chance.
