World number 10 Matteo Berrettini will play his first match on tour since a three-set defeat to Miomir Kecmanovic at Indian Wells back in March as the Italian missed out the entire clay swing through injury. If Berrettini can stay fit he will be a serious threat at the Stuttgart Open but hard-working Radu Albot will be eager to take this opportunity to knock out a rusty second seed. The world number 121 beat Joao Sousa in straight sets on Monday after qualifying well for a run-up on grass and this looks something of an upset waiting to happen.
