World number 54 Pedro Martinez claimed his maiden ATP title at the Chile Open earlier this season on his favoured clay to set a career-high world ranking at 40th. The Spaniard has a couple of hardcourt wins under his belt this season but this looks a huge opportunity for 26-year-old Christopher Eubanks, who set his career-high at 144th just two weeks ago. The American qualified the hard way last week to get some confidence boosting matches under his belt and a victory over Benjamin Bonzi at the start of the month suggests he can outlast Martinez over five sets with the home crowd behind him. Martinez, though, is an excellent competitor. Back Eubanks to win at least two sets, bolstered by the upsets caused by underdogs on day one, and leave the winner up to chance.
