World number 18 Pablo Carreno Busta is currently a hard man to pin down, with three defeats from four matches on tour since finishing runner-up to Carlos Alcaraz at the Barcelona Open last month. The 30-year-old is clearly the favourite in this match-up still but the occasion should attract plenty of home support to Simon’s cause and it would not be a surprise to see this match go to four or even five.
