28-year-old Oscar Otte will set a new career-high ATP world ranking of at least 57th no matter the outcome of this match after an excellent straight-sets victory over Reilly Opelka on Thursday. Otte is the last remaining German in the draw and likely to garner plenty of attention moving forward as a backable underdog whose confidence continues to build upon his excellent defeats to Alexander Zverev at Roland-Garros, Andy Murray at Wimbledon and his run to the round of 16 at the US Open last season. 24-year-old Alejandro Tabilo will also set his new career-high ATP world ranking to at least 84th after coming through the qualifiers this week to beat Cristian Garin and outlast Hugo Gaston, who retired in the third set of their match on Thursday.
