This could be the match of the day at the Stuttgart Open between world number three Paula Badosa and number 10 Ons Jabeur. 27-year-old Jabeur has played valiantly so far to beat two tough opponents, especially on clay, in Marketa Vondrousova and Daria Kasatkina as she continues her strong form from earlier this month when she finished runner-up to Belinda Bencic at the Charleston Open. 24-year-old Paula Badosa is probably the most complete clay player on tour, perhaps behind world number one Iga Swiatek, and she overcame a future top 10 player in Elena Rybakina via a deciding set tiebreak on Thursday. Badosa and Jabeur shared two fierce battles on hardcourts last season with the Tunisian winning in three sets at the Miami Open and Badosa taking their semi-final at Indian Wells on her way to a first Masters title there and that suggests backing her to win at least a set is the sensible move here.
