This should be a thriller between world number 17 Reilly Opelka and number 63 Nick Kyrgios, with tiebreaks offering a useful way out of calling a winner. 24-year-old Opelka has been struggling a little with form recently but a comeback win over Denis Kudla on Wednesday could be the catalyst for change back on his favoured hardcourts. The American has won all four of his ATP titles on US soil, including two this season at the Dallas Open and Houston Open – the latter of which in he beat Kyrgios for a second time to lead their head-to-head record 2-0. Former world number 13 Kyrgios, however, has since reached the summit of a Grand Slam, with a four-set defeat to Novak Djokovic at Wimbledon last month suggesting a prosperous second-half to this season for the Aussie. The 27-year-old won the latest of his six ATP titles here in 2019 and back-to-back straight-set wins over Marcos Giron and Tommy Paul is an impressive start to his 2022 campaign. Take Kyrgios to win at least a set and for at least one tiebreak in the match, or more riskily back the Aussie to win outright with at least one tiebreak.
