NAOMI OSAKA VS COCO GAUFF PREDICTION
Naomi Osaka has battled her way to the round of 16 and she now meets Coco Gauff for a place in the quarter-finals. Osaka is enjoying one of her best tournaments for some time and she will gain confidence with every win. She comes off a 6-3 6-2 win over Katie Volynets but she will have to up her game another level against fourth seed Gauff.
Gauff has had a relatively straight forward path to this stage having eased to victory over Clara Burel and then Katie Boulter in straight sets.
Gauff has met Osaka on four previous occasions and the pair have two wins apiece from those matches. They all came between 2019 and 2022 and it is fair to say that it is Gauff who has been the one to improve since then. There are some positive signs that Osaka is working her way back to where she once was but it is hard to go against form and that means Gauff is our pick here
