World number 91 Richard Gasquet overcame Taro Daniel in four sets on Tuesday in a continuation of his strong form from Winston-Salem last week, where he reached the quarter-finals before losing to eventual runner-up Laslo Djere. This looks a tough step-up for the veteran, though, against a player with genuine potential to reach the latter stages with a kind draw. Kecmanovic beat Gasquet in comfortable straight sets at the Serbia Open earlier this year and he can be backed to win outright here with four sets about as likely as three.
