22-year-old Miomir Kecmanovic is enjoying the season of his promising career so far and he will set a new career-high ATP world ranking of at least 30th no matter the outcome here. The Serb was due to face Novak Djokovic in the first round of the Australian Open but after the world number one was forced to pull out Kecmanovic reached a first major round of 16 and he has not looked back since. Kecmanovic has lost to Djokovic in the quarter-final of the Serbia Open last week to make it three-straight tournaments in which he has lost to the eventual finalist, and on two occasions the eventual champion. 26-year-old Botic van de Zandschulp will also set a new career-high ATP world ranking of at least 36th after claiming one of the best ranking wins of his blossoming career with a straight-sets victory over second seed Casper Ruud. Neither player has dropped a set yet to make for a potential thriller on Saturday but Kecmanovic’s ceiling is the higher of the two and he beat Van de Zandschulp only recently at Indian Wells. Take the Serb to win outright.
