World number 160 Mikhail Kukushkin beat Philipp Kohlschreiber in qualifying to reach the main draw at Wimbledon for a 10th time but the Kazakh veteran is far from the player who made the round of 16 here back in 2019. A 1-6 record on tour for 2022 suggests Brooksby will have too much for the 34-year-old but the suitably cautious move remains taking the American to win outright instead of in straight sets.
