The 26-year-old won the most recent of his six career ATP titles on US soil at the Washington Open in 2019 and three of that total have come in North America. World number 226 Michael Mmoh received a bye to through to the round of 16 as a lucky loser from qualifying and he promptly made the most of it with a straight-sets victory over Sam Querrey. Mmoh could be dangerous here with that kind of second wind momentum behind him but a first meeting with Kyrgios is one of the tougher things to acclimatise to on tour.
