This looks a really intriguing match-up on Saturday night with two starkly different teams likely to make for an exciting spectacle. Matteo Berrettini’s hammer serve is the best of the four players here but Laver Cup veteran Jack Sock proved himself a serious threat in that department in last night’s epic farewell to Roger Federer at the O2 and the American is the best doubles player on court in this scenario. World number 23 Alex de Minaur will be buzzing after beating Andy Murray in the singles on Friday and his lighting speed and reflexes should make for an excellent pairing with Sock, whilst Berrettini and Novak Djokovic feel much more like two quality individuals. The fact that former world number one Djokovic will have played a match already on Saturday will likely see him looser for this blockbuster and that clearly gives Team Europe the higher ceiling but Sock and Frances Tiafoe proved what a strong pairing can do against class individuals on Friday night. Perhaps the best option here is taking the match to go the distance, with sets likely going both ways in what should be an enjoyable occasion for all four players.
