The Belgian takes on Chinese prospect Qinwen Zheng for a first time here in a huge opportunity for both players to get a foothold in the draw and this looks a really tough call either way. Three sets seem likely with the 19-year-old’s last three matches on clay going the distance in an impressive victory over Sloane Stephens and two creditable efforts in defeat to Ekaterina Alexandrova and Karolina Muchova.
