World number 175 Maximilian Marterer is playing only his fourth tour-level match this season after qualifying well this weekend. The former world number 45 is at his best on clay but he has struggled across surfaces for much of the last few seasons and this looks a kind opener for Marin Cilic. The Croat may take some warming up, making an outright pick the more sensible option, but he is well capable of taking this in three sets.
