THE LOWDOWN
MARIE BOUZKOVA
After losing the first set to Danielle Collins in her first-round match, the unseeded Marie Bouzkova has since won eight sets without reply and that has seen the Czech talent reach her maiden Grand Slam quarter-final.
ONS JABEUR
Some big-name eliminations have made Ons Jabeur the favourite to go all the way and claim her first Grand Slam title, and the Tunisian is certainly looking like a potential winner given that she has yet to drop a set in her four matches to date.
THE PREDICTION
Ons Jabeur claimed a grass-court title in Berlin in the run-up to Wimbledon and she has followed up that success by looking like a champion-in-waiting so far, bulldozing her way past all four opponents – the latest of which was Coco Gauff – to reach the quarter-finals at the All England Club for the second year in succession. Unlike last year though, the Tunisian is the favourite to progress this time around and there is little to suggest she will falter here against the unseeded Bouzkova. Despite her Czech opponent playing some great stuff herself to reach this stage, the red hot Jabeur can be backed to win in straight sets.
