The 32-year-old enjoyed his best season on tour last year, with an excellent purple patch from the late clay swing into the early grass, and he will be thrilled to be back on the natural surfaces after a tough slog on hardcourts. 22-year-old Mariano Navone will set a new career-high ATP world ranking of around 94th after an excellent comeback over Federico Coria on Wednesday sealed his maiden tour level victory. The Argentine will break inside the top 100 for the first time no matter the outcome here but this will be a fascinating first encounter with Hanfmann, who has faltered a little in recent weeks. The sensible call is taking Hanfmann to earn at least a set but consider the same option for Navone as he enjoys the best week of his career so far.
