26-year-old Manuel Guinard did well to come back from a set down to beat lucky loser Geoffery Blancaneux on Wednesday and the Frenchman will set a new career-high ATP world ranking of around 139th as a result. This looks a step too far already, though, against world number 10 Felix Auger-Aliassime as the Canadian takes a four-match winning streak from his title-winning campaign in Florence last week. 22-year-old Auger-Aliassime claimed his maiden title in Rotterdam earlier this season but a second title should boost his sometimes questionable confidence on court and help towards making his debut at the ATP Finals later this year. Transitioning from winning a title to playing in a new tournament so soon is always difficult but the second seed should be able to take this in straight sets.
