THE PREDICTION

Former world number two Aryna Sabalenka played poorly on Tuesday to sneak past French wildcard Chloe Paquet in three sets but the 24-year-old will be the better for it moving forwards. The current world number seven has so far lost to Iga Swiatek and Amanda Anisimova twice each on her clay swing, to Swiatek in the final of the Stuttgart Open and semi-finals of the Italian Open and to Anisimova in Charleston and Madrid, although she beat the American in Rome for a clear improvement on the surface, World number 57 Madison Brengle conceded just three games to Mihaela Buzarnescu on Tuesday but whilst the 32-year-old is a never-say-die battler capable of frustrating Sabalenka throughout this encounter she is likely to be overpowered. Back Sabalenka to win outright here with straight-sets likely but not worth the risk.
