World number 22 Roberto Bautista Agut received a bye to the round of 16 at the Napoli Cup as the third seed this week. The 34-year-old has won two ATP 250 events this season, taking his career titles total up to 11, at the Qatar Open and more recently Kitzbuhel on a hardcourt and clay-court, respectively. World number 74 Mackenzie McDonald beat Francesco Passaro for the second week running after also ousting the Italian in straight sets at last week’s Firenze Open and the American is enjoying some solid form on tour since winning his first Doubles title at the Japan Open earlier this month. This looks too steep a climb though against a genuine title contender in RBA, who has beaten McDonald in both of their previous meetings. Three sets are possible given McDonald’s form, so taking Bautista Agut to win outright looks the sensible call.
