World number four Paula Badosa is riding a poor three-match losing streak on tour and she has lost five of her last six matches since reaching the semi-finals of the Silicon Valley Classic back in August. The 24-year-old faces Louisa Chirico for the second time this season after quickly ousting the American in the first round of Wimbledon in July but Chirico certainly has more of a chance at an upset in this rematch after stunning Alison Riske-Amritraj on Monday from a set down. 26-year-old Chirico also upset Yulia Putintseva in the qualifying rounds of the San Diego Open this weekend and momentum like that against an out-of-sorts Badosa makes backing the shock a tempting move.
