World number 45 Lorenzo Sonego is in great form in his favoured indoor hardcourt conditions, with a straight-sets victory over Bernabe Zapata Miralles on Wednesday his sixth win on the spin. World number 31 Holger Rune beat Sonego at the Moselle Open this time last season in their only previous meeting and he got his Sofia Open campaign underway well with a tight straight-sets victory over Tim van Rijthoven on Tuesday. Sonego can be a tough man to stop once he finally finds some rhythm and it is likely that he can level this head-to-head record with an outright victory.
