World number 14 Taylor Fritz won his first ATP title at the Eastbourne International back in 2019 and he returned to the south coast this week to claim his third, beating fellow American Maxime Cressy in three tight sets. The 24-year-old won his second title with a stunning run to a first Masters final at Indian Wells back in March but he has struggled with injuries over the last few months since. Fritz reached the second week of a Grand Slam for the first time back in January, just-about losing to Stefanos Tsitsipas in a five-set thriller that could have gone either way, and he has all the tools to emulate that this week at Wimbledon. World number 71 Lorenzo Musetti is riding a four-match losing streak after losing back-to-back games on grass and the Italian has yet to win a tour-level match on the surface. After winning in Eastbourne Fritz may find recalibrating a little tricky but the American should be confident in his ability to win outright here, probably in three.
