World number 65 Adrian Mannarino has spent much of this week under the radar at the Winston-Salem Open but back-to-back straight-set results over Maxime Cressy and Botic van de Zandschulp, the latter to whom he handed a first-set bagel, makes the Frenchman look the favourite here. 34-year-old Mannarino is playing his 11th tour final but he has managed to win just one of those at ‘s-Hertogenbosch in 2019. World number 89 Laslo Djere is another surprising finalist after overcoming a strong field of opponents this week and he will be aware of Mannarino’s finals record as well as his own, with two ATP finals won from his three finals giving him a confidence-boosting positive record. This is the Serb’s first final away from his favoured clay, though, and that could tell here. Mannarino has taken out two pre-tournament favourites this week without dropping a set and backing him to edge this outright seems a reasonable risk, although his finals record makes taking him to win at least a set the sensible option.
