World number 46 Yulia Putintseva has a banana skin to avoid here against Canadian wildcard Katherine Sebov, who will garner all the support in her hometown Toronto. 27-year-old Putintseva put in a solid defence of her Hungarian Grand Prix title last month before defeat to Aleksandra Krunic in the semi-finals and she has since struggled on tour. 23-year-old Sebov has enjoyed some decent results on the ITF circuit in recent months and she will consider this the biggest match of her career so far on her Masters debut.
