World number 95 Marc-Andrea Huesler provided the shock of the Sofia Open so far when he overcame second-seed Pablo Carreno Busta in three sets on Thursday. The 26-year-old is one win away from matching his excellent run to the semi-finals of the Winston-Salem Open last month, where he stunned the likes of Ilya Ivashka and Jack Draper before coming unstuck against Laslo Djere. World number 119 Kamil Majchrzak also impressed on Thursday with an excellent comeback victory over eighth-seed Oscar Otte but the Pole looks the underdog on recent form in this first meeting with Huesler. Three sets seem far more likely than two here, and that could be a valuable alternative to the result, but the most sensible call is taking Huesler to earn at least a set to leave the winner up to chance.
