World number 220 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga took the first set against Jordan Thompson in the first round of the Miami Open before eventually losing last month. The 36-year-old veteran is likely playing his last season on tour in 2022 but when he eventually does hang up his racket he can look back on an illustrious career of 18 ATP titles, including two Masters titles from the 2008 Paris Masters and the Canadian Open in 2014. The 33-year-old has lost to form youngsters Miomir Kecmanovic and Carlos Alcaraz in recent weeks but he should have more than enough to extend his lead in this head-to-head record, currently standing at 6-2 to the Croat. Tsonga could trouble early on but this is likely to fall in two to Cilic.
