20-year-old Jiri Lehecka is an up-and-coming Czech prospect with a powerful game and he set a career-high ATP world ranking of 65th earlier this month. The current world number 68 lost to eventual Gstaad Open champion Casper Ruud at this stage last week but after a solid win over Thiago Monteiro here on Monday a first meeting with Joao Sousa looks a more winnable round of 16 fixture. World number 61 Sousa beat Vit Kopriva in the first round but he has failed to win back-to-back matches since losing to Ruud in the Geneva Open final back in May. A record of 2-6 since that final suggests the Portuguese is not up to the standard that saw him claim a fourth career ATP title at the Pune Open back in February. The 34-year-old is a solid clay-court competitor but back Lehecka to come through this first meeting in his current trajectory.
