21-year-old Jenson Brooksby set a new career-high ATP world ranking of 34th last month as he continues to soar on what is still largely his first year on tour. The American has struggled, overall, on clay but back-to-back runs to the round of 16s at Indian Wells and the Miami Open were in keeping with his excellent form on hardcourts so far and it will be fascinating to see how his entertaining game will translate to grass. World number 66 Hugo Gaston is another unorthodox talent who enjoys nothing more than playing on home soil, particularly in Paris. Gaston, also 21, made short work of Soonwoo Kwon on Monday to break with that tradition but he has yet to really impress on this surface whilst Brooksby reached the Hall of Fame Open final last season on grass before defeat to Kevin Anderson. Back the American to win outright here, although you could be forgiven for taking at least a set.
