This is a huge opportunity for one of world number 156 Jay Clarke and number 251 Chris Harrison to reach the second round of Wimbledon. It would be a second time for wildcard Clarke after he lost to Roger Federer in 2019 but Harrison has fought tooth and nail this week to qualify for the main draw at a Grand Slam for the first time in his career at 28 years old and that will be a serious force to stop. Clarke will be well-backed by a likely small but partisan crowd on Monday and he has enjoyed the better performances on grass this month but this looks wide open between two players ranked outside the top 150 with so much on the line.
