Slovenia’s world number 72 Juvan stunned sixth-seed Alize Cornet in straight sets on Tuesday to suggest she is in the mood to excel this week in much the same way she performed at the Strasbourg Open back in May, when she played out the longest WTA tour final of the season with eventual champion Angelique Kerber over three tight sets. 21-year-old Juvan has a bright future but inconsistency is her biggest foe right now.
