THE PREDICTION

Two-time defending champion Holger Rune is yet to drop a set this week in Munich after seeing off a resurgent Marc-Andrea Huesler in straight sets on Friday. The 20-year-old has struggled to find anything like his best tennis since the end of the clay swing last summer but a return to his favoured surface looks to have helped, with a tight three-set exit to Jannik Sinner in the quarter-finals of Monte-Carlo last week following an impressive result over Grigor Dimitrov. Rune has been handed a huge advantage here after rain late on Friday meant that Jan-Lennard Struff was forced to play his quarter-final this morning, impressively beating Felix Auger-Aliassime in straight sets to look a threat all the same. The 33-year-old will be backed to the hilt as a popular home hopeful desperately seeking his maiden ATP title but the weather has likely scuppered his chances here for another year. Back Rune to reach the final.

TIP: HOLGER RUNE TO WIN
