The Swiss is a confidence player who suddenly regained her mojo at the Miami Open, where she lost to Naomi Osaka in the semi-finals, and she looks set to be a top 10 player once again sooner rather than later. Bencic lost to Begu via a retirement in their first meeting way back in 2016 at the Birmingham Classic but she should be in a bullish mood here after a long period of in-effectivity on the tour.
