World number one Iga Swiatek lost the Ostrava Open final from a set up to Barbora Krejcikova last weekend, her first defeat in a final since her very first at the Lugano Open back in 2019. The 21-year-old has claimed seven WTA titles this year, including her second and third Grand Slam titles at Roland-Garros and the US Open, but it will be fascinating to see how she reacts from losing one after all this time. Especially as she faces a serious test in 20-year-old Qinwen Zheng, who has burst onto the scene in 2022, recently reaching her first tour final at the Japan Open before finishing runner-up to Liudmila Samsonova. The Chinese rising star came into the tournament at a career-high WTA world ranking of 28th and she raced to the first five games in her opener against Garbine Muguruza before the troubled former world number one was forced to retire. Qinwen took Swiatek to three sets at Roland-Garros this summer and she could be even more of a handful in their second meeting here. Back Swiatek to win outright but consider opting for the Chinese to earn at least a set.
