World number 12 Hubert Hurkacz avenged his defeat to Felix Auger-Aliassime here last season with an impressive victory over the Canadian via two tiebreaks on Friday. The 25-year-old reached the semi-finals of Wimbledon last season with vastly impressive results over Daniil Medvedev and Roger Federer before eventual defeat to Matteo Berrettini and he will be an outside contender for the title at SW19 later this month with a huge game for grass. Former world number 13 Nick Kyrgios, however, is in some insatiable form of his own. The 27-year-old put on a serving clinic against Pablo Carreno Busta on Friday to win in straight sets, backing up a three-set victory over the second seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in the round of 16. This first meeting between the two should be a thrilling match-up between all of Hurkacz’s measure and world-class net game versus the raw power and pinpoint accuracy of a Nick Kyrgios in full flow. Three sets seems likely but a tiebreak seems likelier still. Take this match to see at least one tiebreak and leave the winner totally up to chance, or back Hurkacz to win at least a set as the just-about likelier man to reach the final – on mentality more than anything.
