World number 132 Dominic Thiem needed three sets to beat Francisco Cerundolo on Thursday in another impressive result to add to his tentatively improving performances on tour as he continues the long road back from surgery. The former world number three has lost each of his three matches to Hurkacz so far but the Pole remains a vulnerable target at seemingly random moments this season. Backing Hurkacz to take at least a set looks the sensible move in what should be a thriller in Antwerp.
