THE PREDICTION
30-year-old Filip Krajinovic beat in-form Dan Evans at the Cincinnati Open last week and he tested Carlos Alcaraz at the Hamburg Open late last season for some solid form coming into New York. The Serb is well capable of an upset here but Alex de Minaur’s form has gone somewhat under the radar this summer and he will be eager to rectify his gut-wrenching exit from Wimbledon. The Aussie beat Krajinovic in three sets in Cincinnati last season and he can be backed to win this second meeting outright.
