THE PREDICTION
World number 30 Ekaterina Alexandrova came back well from a set down to Dayan Yastremska on Monday for a first win on grass this season. The 27-year-old found some superb form on the clay swing early-on with two semi-final exits to eventual champions: Belinda Bencic at the Charleston Open and Ons Jabeur at the Madrid Open. World number 35 Anhelina Kalinina also needed three sets to get through her first round meeting with Australian qualifier Olivia Gadecki and it will be interesting to see how she fares on grass after a breakthrough swing on clay. The 25-year-old reached the quarter-finals in Stuttgart and Madrid in similar form to Alexandrova but the Russian likely has the better experience on grass so far. This is a tough call but Alexandrova beat Kalinina in straight sets last October at the Kremlin Cup and backing her to win at least a set here as the likelier victor seems sensible.
