30-year-old Denis Yevseyev will make his long-awaited ATP tour debut on Wednesday after qualifying well this week. The Kazakh set a new career-high ATP world ranking of 258th last week off the back of some strong results on the Challenger tour this summer and this could be a fascinating clash with Marton Fucsovics as a result. World number 57 Fucsovics has endured an erratic 2023 with some excellent results over the likes of Taylor Fritz, Alex de Minaur and Sebastian Korda contrasting with a few odd early exits but the Hungarian is much improved on a horror-show 2022 season that he is still fixing in the rankings. Yevseyev has waited for this day a long time and that makes him dangerous here but taking Fucsovics to come through outright remains the sensible call.
